Expanded list of COVID-19 Symptoms

Over the past two years many have become familiar with the symptoms of COVID-19: a high temperature, new, continuous cough, and loss or change in your sense of smell or taste.

However the symptoms of COVID-19 have been identified to be wider and the NHS has expanded its list of recognised symptoms. The list now includes:

  • shortness of breath
  • feeling tired or exhausted
  • an aching body
  • a headache
  • a sore throat
  • a blocked or runny nose
  • loss of appetite
  • diarrhoea
  • feeling sick or being sick

Try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people if you have symptoms of COVID-19 and either:

  • you have a high temperature
  • you do not feel well enough to go to work or do your normal activities

You can go back to your normal activities when you feel better or do not have a high temperature. For more information please see the NHS website: Main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – NHS (www.nhs.uk)
